RUKE 2010 - Craft Fair in Herceg Novi, June 9th-15th
The first Ruke craft fair was organised in 2005. Its originator was Milina Kovačević, Program Director from Herceg Fest. She was supported by volunteers, artists and crafts enthusiasts from Herceg Novi.

Cultural-historical heritage
Kanli Kula
Kanli kula originates from the Turkish period (16th century); it used to be a prison (which is where its original Turkish name the “Bloody Tower” comes from), and in 1966 it was reconstructed and turned into one of the most wonderful summer stages on the Adriatic coast, which has over 1000 seats, even though it can accommodate over the total of 15,00 people.
Savina Monastery
Savina Monastery is a Serb Orthodox monastery near the city Herceg Novi in Boka Kotorska, and is made of thick Mediterranean vegetation in one of the most beautiful parts of the northern Montenegrin coast. It was built by the Duke of Saint Sava, Stjepan Vukčić Kosača of Herzegovina. The monastery consists of three churches: A small church of the Assumption, the Great Temple of the Assumption and the Temple of Saint Sava by which the monastery is named.

Mamula island
Mamula island is known on the sea maps as the Lastavica Island. It acquired its widely accepted name “Mamula” after the Austrian general Lazar Mamula who fortified it in the mid 19th century.
